The Marlins have acquired right-handed pitcher David Hess from the Rays in exchange for minor league right-hander Justin Sterner and cash considerations. (Rays Communications on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

Hess spent parts of each season from 2018-20 in the majors with the Orioles, though all of his 2021 action has come in Triple-A Durham. During his time with the Bulls, he is 5-1 with a 2.81 ERA, 1.03 WHIP, and .230 OBA. Meanwhile, Sterner is 2-1 with a 3.54 ERA between Single-A and High-A. The 24-year-old right-hander has walked 11 batters and struck out 30.
