Taylor Widener takes a no-decision on Saturday

by Jon Mathisen | Braves Correspondent | Sun, Aug 8th 12:11pm EDT

RHP Taylor Widener allowed two runs on four hits with two walks and seven strikeouts across five innings in the D-Backs' 6-2 loss to the Padres on Saturday.

Fantasy Impact:

This was a major bounce back from Widener who had allowed a whopping 15 earned runs over his previous three starts. He served up a pair of solo home runs to Manny Machado and Eric Hosmer, respectively, which led to the two earned runs tallied against him. The decent outing lowered his ERA to 4.89 to go along with a 1.43 WHIP and 50 strikeouts over 46 innings (10 starts). He'll face these same Padres at home in his next turn but he shouldn't be streamed in that one.
