Taylor Widener pitches well in no-decision

by Jon Mathisen | Braves Correspondent | Wed, Aug 18th 1:56am EDT

RHP Taylor Widener took a no-decision on Tuesday when he surrendered one run on two hits with three walks and five strikeouts across five innings in the D-Backs' 3-2 win over the Phillies.

Fantasy Impact:

Widener gave the D-Backs a fighting chance on Tuesday, only allowing one run courtesy of a Bryce Harper solo shot in the third inning, over his five innings of work. He issued three free passes but he also punched out five. He's surrendered just three runs over his last two starts (10 innings). He now owns a 4.59 ERA, 1.39 WHIP, and 55:24 K/BB ratio over 51 innings (11 starts). He's got a date with the Rockies on the road in his next turn.
