Steven Duggar headed to IL with oblique injury

by Mike Maher | Thu, Apr 21st 4:07pm EDT

Giants OF Steven Duggar is dealing with a left oblique injury that will require a trip to the injured list, according to Giants manager Gabe Kapler. Duggar left Thursday's game against the Mets after appearing to injure himself swinging the bat. (Alex Pavlovic on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

If word comes out almost instantly that a player is headed to the injured list, then it's fair to assume the injury is at least somewhat significant. Through 11 games to start the season, Duggar is batting .200 with 2 R, 0 HR, 4 RBI, and 4 SB. Austin Slater and Mauricio Dubon will both likely see time in the outfield in Duggar's absence.
