Cleveland Guardians right-hander Eli Morgan allowed two runs over three innings in a 4-1 loss to the Yankees on Friday. Morgan struck out five and walked two in the start.

Morgan took the place of Cal Quantrill, who is on the COVID-19 list. He rang up five strikeouts but wasn’t ready to work deep into the game after opening the year in the bullpen. Morgan has a 4.50 ERA across nine innings this season.
