Yankees slugger Giancarlo Stanton reportedly might come off the IL as soon as this weekend, according to New York Daily News writer Kristie Ackert. (NY Daily News)

New York had initially stated Stanton was dealing with a calf strain, but later attributed the injury to ankle inflammation. He took some swings at batting practice Tuesday and appears on track to return to the Yankees lineup sooner than later.
