Bryce Harper will require surgery on his fractured left thumb. Recovery is going to be around 6 weeks, making it possible he plays again this season. (Jim Salisbury on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

There was concern that Harper wouldn't play again in 2022, so this is pretty good news for Harper owners. If everything goes well in his recovery, we can see him back on the field in mid-August. He's been outstanding this season, including a .335 xBA, .443 xwOBA, and 52% hard-hit rate.
