Tyler Gilbert was placed on the 15-day IL on Friday with a sprained left elbow, retroactive to July 27. (Arizona Diamondbacks on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Gilbert has been up and down from the big league club to the minors all season, but he had made four straight starts in July before his injury. The lefthander holds a 5.24 ERA with a WHIP of 1.25 through eight appearances in 2022. It is unknown how much time the 28-year-old will miss, but he should not be on fantasy rosters regardless.
