by Andersen Pickard | Diamondbacks Correspondent | Thu, Aug 4th 7:12am EDT

Rays reliever Ryan Thompson delivered two perfect innings against the Blue Jays on Wednesday afternoon. He struck out two batters, did not allow anyone to reach base, and was credited with the win as Tampa Bay ultimately defeated Toronto by a score of 3-2.

Fantasy Impact:

Thompson is now 3-2 with a 3.58 ERA, 1.06 WHIP, and .207 OBA through 37 2/3 innings this season. He has accrued 7.65 K/9, 2.39 BB/9, and nine holds but is just 3-for-8 in save situations. After a shaky start to the season, the right-hander has been brilliant over his last 17 outings, allowing zero earned runs and just two walks while striking out 15 batters.
