Julian Merryweather started a rehab assignment with the FCL Blue Jays, throwing one inning, no hits, no runs, and striking out two batters. (Scott Mitchell on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Merryweather has been out of action since mid-June with a left abdominal strain. Prior to the injury, he had a 6.38 ERA, .311 OBA, and a 8.35 K/9 ratio in 20 relief outings. While the 30-year-old returning to the Blue Jays would provide them with some depth options, he should not be on fantasy rosters.
