Ian Kennedy tossed a scoreless ninth inning for the Diamondbacks Sunday, allowing just one hit while also walking one and striking out two in the Diamondbacks' 3-2 win over the White Sox.

Kennedy has held opponents scoreless in nine of 11 August relief appearances, posting an impressive 1.10 WHIP and five saves in that span. The 37-year-old right-hander has been serviceable for most of the season, posting a 1.30 WHIP and 3.19 ERA with 39 strikeouts and nine saves in 47 relief appearances this season.
