by David Leisering | Fri, Jan 9th 5:46pm EST
Max Kepler has received an 80-game suspension for PED use as announced by Major League Baseball. The free-agent outfielder tested positive for Epitrenbolone, which is in violation of MLB's Joint Drug Prevention and Treatment Program. (Jon Heyman on X)
Fantasy Impact:
Kepler, who will turn 33 last month, is coming off of a disappointing year in Philadelphia where he batted just .216 with 18 home runs in his first season away from the Twins' organization. Kepler is only a .235 career hitter but does have 179 home runs, including a career-high 36 with Minnesota in 2019. Kepler, who has not had a ton of interest this offseason, just made his signing with another MLB team that much more difficult.
