Hunter Greene won his fifth game Monday after shutting the Cubs out over six innings while striking out eight. Greene only allowed two hits and one walk on the evening.
After struggling early in the season, the rookie showed his potential after the All-Star break. In 35 and 1/3 innings over six starts since the break, Greene only gave up four earned runs (1.02 ERA) with 51 strikeouts (13 K/9). The 23-year-old goes into the offseason with much momentum and figures to be a popular sleeper in drafts next year.
