Jose Berrios collects win on Monday

by Devon Bruce | Blue Jays Correspondent | Tue, Oct 4th 10:21am EDT

Jose Berrios pitched six innings, allowing one earned run one three hits and three walks while striking out five during Toronto's win over Baltimore on Monday.

Fantasy Impact:

Berrios was solid yet unspectacular, holding the Orioles to one run but matched his season high with three free passes over six innings. Fortunately for the Blue Jays, Berrios ends his regular season on a high note as they move towards the playoffs. Berrios has been an overly frustrating pitcher to roster this season for fantasy managers as he consistently followed up solid streaks with clunkers as evidenced by his disappointing 5.23 ERA and 1.42 WHIP. He'll finish the year with a decent 12-7 record with a 149:45 strikeout-to-walk ratio and 4.61 FIP over 172 innings pitched.
