Tyler Heineman and the Toronto Blue Jays have avoided arbitration and have agreed to a $1.24 million contract for 2026. (Ben Nicholson-Smith on X)

Heineman enjoyed his best season at the big league level in 2025, batting .289 with three home runs and 20 RBI in 174 plate appearances with the Blue Jays. The catcher has played with five different teams across parts of six major league seasons. He will backup Alejandro Kirk at catcher for Toronto in 2026.
