Fantasy Impact:

Dodgers President Andrew Friedman told Bowden that he currently sees Vargas as the starter at second base to open the 2023 season. The 23-year-old got into 18 games with the big club in 2022, struggling to a .170 average and one home run across 50 trips to the plate. With Trea Turner's departure, it appears Gavin Lux's move to shortstop will open an Opening Day spot for Vargas to begin the 2023 campaign.
