Tanner Houck says he has talked about an extension with the Red Sox

Tanner Houck said he had conversations with the Red Sox about a contract extension last year and remains open to keeping the door open this year. (Chris Cotillo on Twitter)

"If the opportunity on both sides is right, I’d be willing to," Houck said. He figures to open the 2023 season in a long-relief role with the potential to see some starts if any Red Sox starters were to miss time.
