James Paxton is dealing with a Grade 1 hamstring strain and he will be shut down for a bit, per Red Sox manager Alex Cora. (Pete Abraham on Twitter )
Fantasy Impact:
Paxton exited his Friday start early with a tweak in his hamstring. The veteran only logged 1 1/3 innings pitched in 2021 and has appeared in just five Major League games in the last two seasons. The injury is definitely a concern for any fantasy managers that were taking a flier on Paxton. Paxton’s status for the start of the regular season is currently in doubt.
