Paul Blackburn returns to Yankees on one-year deal

According to Jon Heyman, free agent pitcher Paul Blackburn has rejoined the Yankees on a one-year deal. The deal is worth $2 million with innings incentives built in that could make his salary jump to $2.5 million. (Jon Heyman on X)

Fantasy Impact:

The 32-year-old righthander struggled last season, going 0-3 with a 6.23 ERA between the Mets and the Yankees. After being released by the Mets in August, the Yankees signed him three days later and he registered a 5.28 ERA with the Pinstripes in eight appearances. In nine big league seasons, Blackburn has gone 22-31 with a 4.97 ERA as both a starter and a reliever.
