Cleveland Guardians pitcher Sam Hentges is dealing with inflammation around the ligaments in his left throwing shoulder. (MLB.com)
Fantasy Impact:
Hentges pitched in late February and manager Terry Francona said the left-hander felt his shoulder wasn't "bouncing back" as he had hoped. More tests revealed inflammation around the ligaments in his throwing shoulder and he is being evaluated on a week-to-week basis. Hentges made 57 relief appearances in 2022, posting a stout 2.32 ERA and 21.6% K-BB% across 62 innings of work. Any lengthy absence for Hentges represents a notable blow to the Guardians' bullpen.
