Chicago White Sox first baseman Andrew Vaughn will miss a few more days as he deals with low back soreness. (Daryl Van Schouwen on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

The ailment doesn't appear to be anything serious and Vaughn is simply listed as day-to-day at this point. The 24-year-old took a solid step forward last season, hitting .271 with 17 home runs and a 113 wRC+ across 134 games with the latter easily topping the 93 mark he posted as a rookie in 2021. Vaughn has yet to display the stellar raw power some expected out of the gate but several projections have him well over the 20-home run mark in the 2023 campaign. He should also rack up a career-high in plate appearances as the club's everyday first baseman with Jose Abreu out of the fold.
