Fantasy Impact:

With off-season addition Jose Quintana injured, the Mets had a spring competition for the final rotation spot heading into the regular season. Peterson has earned the spot over Tylor Megill and is expected to start the second game of the season for the Mets on Friday in Miami. Peterson posted a 3.83 ERA, 1.33 WHIP and 27.8 K% across 28 games (19 starts) last season. He was stellar over 12 scoreless innings this spring, allowing only one hit while striking out 13.
