Aaron Nola surrenders five earned runs on Opening Day

by Nate Miller | Phillies Correspondent | Thu, Mar 30th 8:05pm EDT

Aaron Nola logged just 3 2/3 innings in Thursday's 11-7 loss to the Rangers, allowing five runs on four hits and two walks while striking out four.

Fantasy Impact:

Nola got off to a great start in his Opening Day matchup with the Rangers, as he did not allow a run over the first three innings. Things came completely apart for him in the fourth frame, however, with the big blow being a three-run homer off the bat of Robbie Grossman. This was certainly not the outing the Philly ace was looking for to kick the season off. Nola will look to rebound next week at Yankee Stadium.
