Corey Kluber roughed up in Red Sox debut Thursday

by Andersen Pickard | Thu, Mar 30th 9:24pm EDT

Corey Kluber allowed five runs through just 3 1/3 innings of work during Thursday's season opener against the Orioles. He struck out four batters, allowed six hits, and issued four walks. Kluber was charged with the loss as Boston ultimately fell to Baltimore by a score of 10-9.

Fantasy Impact:

Kluber used a strong 2022 with the Rays to earn a big-league contract with the Red Sox for 2023. The right-hander is pitching for his third AL East team in as many years. Despite his tough Boston debut, Kluber should be viewed as a reliable rotation arm who can generate strikeouts, limit walks, and pitch into the fifth or sixth inning of games.
