Bruce Zimmermann has agreed to a minor league contract with the St. Louis Cardinals. ZImmermann was outrighted off of the Brewers' 40-man roster after the 2025 season. (MLB Trade Rumors on X)
Fantasy Impact:
Zimmermann started one game for the Brewers last season and allowed five earned runs in six innings with two walks and a strikeout against the Padres in late September. The southpaw has pitched parts of five big league seasons with the Orioles and Brewers and is 8-11 with a 5.64 ERA. While his strikeout rate is well below league average (17.5%), his walk rate is a very respectable 5.8% across 164.1 career innings. Zimmermann will likely serve as organizational depth for the Cardinals.
