Seth Brown doubles and swipes a base Thursday

by Brenton Kemp | Athletics Correspondent | Fri, Mar 31st 9:33am EDT

Oakland A's slugger Seth Brown doubled and stole a base in Thursday's Opening Day victory over the Los Angeles Angels.

Fantasy Impact:

Brown socked a fourth-inning double off Angels ace Shohei Ohtani before singling and subsequently stealing second base in the eighth. A two-hit evening is a fine start to the season for Brown who figures to be a key piece of a rebuilding A's club this season. He offers a solid combination of power and speed as he's hit 45 homers with 15 stolen bases across 261 games over the last two seasons while providing defensive versatility in fantasy formats.
