Matt Carpenter went 1-for-1 at the plate for the Padres Thursday night, blasting a solo home run while also walking once and scoring two runs in a 7-5 win over the Diamondbacks.
Fantasy Impact:
Carpenter has struggled at the plate recently for the Padres, recording hits in just two of his last nine games for the club. The veteran slugger has always flashed power potential for fantasy managers, but also goes through stretches where his bat disappears, batting just .167 with four runs scored, two home runs, and seven runs batted in so far this season.
