Matt Vierling connects for home run Wednesday night

Vierling began his day with a single, a stolen base, and a run scored as the leadoff man in game one of the twin bill but powered up in the second half. Acquired via trade from the Phillies this winter, Vierling is up to a .281 average with two homers, four stolen bases, and a .749 OPS across 96 trips to the plate with his new club.
