Bryan Sammons reunites with Detroit on minor league deal

Bryan Sammons is returning to the Detroit Tigers on a minor league contract. The deal includes an invitation to spring training. (Jon Morosi on X)
Fantasy Impact:
Sammons got his first taste of big league action in 2024 when he pitched 27.1 innings in six games for the Tigers. He posted a 3.62 ERA and a 0.93 WHIP with 18 strikeouts. The lefthander spent last season in Japan's NPB where he had a 3.58 ERA in 85.1 innings for the Chiba Lotte Marines. Sammons will likely begin the year in Triple-A Toledo.
