The San Diego Padres placed Manny Machado on the 10-day injured list due to a left hand fracture the club announced. (San Diego Padres on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Machado had been attempting to avoid a stint on the injured list, but the club ultimately decided to place the superstar on it. His absence will leave a gaping hole in the middle of the San Diego lineup. Brandon Dixon was recalled from Triple-A El Paso in a corresponding move.
