Friedl started and hit leadoff after being activated from the injured list Tuesday night but will get a day off -- at least to start -- on Wednesday against a lefty in Steven Matz. The 27-year-old has been productive with a .313 average, three homers, four steals, and an .844 OPS in 38 contests this season.
