Luis Ortiz lasted five innings, allowing three earned runs on five hits and four walks while striking out six in a losing effort against Seattle.
Fantasy Impact:
Despite the loss, Ortiz has shown improvement over his last few starts, lowering his ERA from 5.73 to 4.35 and increasing his strikeout rate from 4.3 K/9 to 6.1 K/9. However, his high walk rate and WHIP continue to be a concern for the Pirates.
