Taillon allowed only three hits and no walks while striking out three batters over 5.2 innings, earning his second win of the season as the Cubs edged the Padres 2-1.

Although his season-long numbers remain unimpressive, Taillon has now allowed only one earned run in each of his last two starts, and will look to build on this momentum in his next outing.
