Andrew Abbott tosses six shutout innings in MLB debut

by Brenton Kemp | Reds Correspondent | Tue, Jun 6th 10:23am EDT

Abbott was dominant in his first career start, allowing only one hit and four walks while striking out six over six shutout innings, earning his first career win as the Reds defeated the Brewers 2-0 on Monday.

Fantasy Impact:

Abbott was fantastic on Monday, taking care of a Brewers lineup that struggles against left-handed pitching. After the southpaw turned in a 1.15 ERA in three Double-A starts and a 3.05 mark across seven Triple-A outings, Abbott made his mark in the big leagues. He should remain in the rotation with another left-hander in Nick Lodolo out long-term.
