Nestor Cortes Jr. was placed on the 15-day IL due to a left rotator cuff strain, retroactive to 8/8. (New York Yankees on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Cortes returns to the IL after just one start. He missed over two months due to a shoulder injury, so it's concerning to see a rotator cuff injury so soon. It's unclear how long he will be out, but it's going to be hard to rely on him for the rest of the 2023 fantasy season.
