Penn Murfee claimed by Mets

The New York Mets have claimed relief pitcher Penn Murfee off waivers from the Seattle Mariners. (MLB.com)
Fantasy Impact:
Murfee is likely out for the first half of the 2024 season after undergoing UCL surgery in June. However, the Mets are taking a flyer on the right-hander who tossed a sterling 1.29 ERA in 16 appearances for the Mariners prior to his injury while he owns a 2.70 ERA across 83 1/3 innings in parts of two MLB seasons.
