Spencer Howard struggles in loss to Angels

Spencer Howard allowed four earned runs over 2 1/3 innings in Friday's 8-6 loss to the Angels.
Fantasy Impact:
He surrendered seven hits and four walks while striking out only one batter. This outing has certainly not helped Howard's case for reliability in fantasy lineups, as his ERA ballooned to 4.02 and his WHIP escalated to 1.66 for the season. With a K/9 of just 5.7 and a concerning strikeout-to-walk ratio of 1.43, Howard's ability to contribute positively in fantasy formats remains questionable. His high BABIP of .346 also suggests he's been somewhat unlucky, but the lack of strikeouts and high walk rate are red flags that can't be ignored. Fantasy managers should tread carefully with Howard moving forward, considering these metrics.
