Jose Alvarez got a strikeout and was made a winner by Albert Pujols' RBI.

Alvarez picked up the win last night against the Dodgers to avoid the sweep. In his last five outings, he has a combined three innings pitched while only giving up three hits and no earned runs. Look for Alvarez to be used more heading into this playoff race when they start to pull starting pitchers at earlier signs of struggling.
