Jorge Mateo, Orioles avoid arbitration

The Orioles and Jorge Mateo avoided arbitration, agreeing to a one-year, $3.55 million contract.

The deal also includes a $5.5 million club option for 2026. Mateo is continuing to work his way back from UCL surgery on his non-throwing elbow. He'll add depth in the infield for Baltimore when he is healthy.
