Carlos Estevez agrees to deal with Royals

The deal is for two years and worth $20.2 million deal with a $13 million club option for 2027. Estevez will likely compete with Lucas Erceg for the closer role in the Royals bullpen. Estevez spent time in the closer role for the Angels and Phillies the past two seasons.
