With Zach Neto (shoulder) not expected to be ready for Opening Day, Anderson will compete with Kevin Newman, Scott Kingery, and Luis Rengifo to open the season at shortstop for the Angels. Anderson is currently on a minor league deal and will have to show his bat has improved after a disappointing 2024 season.
