Maikel Garcia (elbow) to be ready for spring training

Royals infielder Maikel Garcia is expected to be ready for a normal spring training after undergoing surgery to remove bone chips in his right elbow. (MLB.com)

Garcia went under the knife in early December, allowing for enough rehab time to get him ready for the start of spring training. The 24-year-old took a step back at the plate in 2024, hitting .231 with seven homers and a .613 OPS across a hefty 626 plate appearances but still managed to steal 37 bases.
