Betts traveled with the team to Japan but is ill and will miss both exhibition games. He has felt sick since before the Los Angeles Dodgers left for Japan and has lost some weight. Betts will be evaluated during a workout day on Monday to determine his status for Tuesday's regular season game against the Chicago Cubs in Japan.
