Royals starting pitcher Cole Ragans (1-1) took the loss Friday against the Tigers, allowing five earned runs on six hits and three walks over four-plus innings pitched. He struck out eight batters. Ragans surrendered a solo homer and was removed after allowing the first three batters to reach base in the fifth inning; both inherited runners scored.

Fantasy Impact:

Despite the rough outing Friday, Ragans still boasts an elite 42:7 K:BB ratio through 27.2 innings. The loss dropped his record to 1-1, while his ERA rose to 3.58 and WHIP to 1.12. He lines up for a home start against the Rockies on Thursday.
