Fantasy Impact:
Lao made one appearance for the Boston Red Sox on April 22, tossing 1.2 innings with three strikeouts and one unearned run allowed. His designation clears a spot on the 40-man roster for Rhylan Thomas. Lao will now be exposed to waivers and could be claimed by another team.
