Gleyber Torres homers in 3-for-3 day, exits early

by Bruno Mulé | Tigers Correspondent | Fri, May 2nd 2:38pm EDT

Gleyber Torres went 3-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk before exiting Thursday's win over the Angels with an apparent injury. He scored one run, drove in one RBI, and did not strike out. The homer was his fourth of the season. Torres left the game after singling to lead off the eighth inning. Manager AJ Hinch stated afterwards that Torres' hamstring was "feeling a little tight" and he was removed as a precaution, adding that Torres wasn't scheduled to start Friday regardless. No tests were performed.

Fantasy Impact:

Torres was perfect at the plate Thursday (3-for-3, HR, BB) before being removed in the eighth inning due to hamstring tightness. Manager AJ Hinch termed the removal precautionary and noted Torres was already scheduled for a day off Friday. Consider him day-to-day until further notice.
