Sims has surrendered six earned runs over his last two outings and currently holds a 13.86 ERA and 2.27 WHIP through 12.1 innings. He has been released and is now free to sign with any team. In a corresponding move, the Nationals recalled Zach Brzykcy from Triple-A to fill his spot in the bullpen.
