The Tampa Bay Rays placed Travis Jankowski on the 10-day IL on Thursday with a left groin strain. (Ryan Bass on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Jankowski exited Wednesday’s game against the Blue Jays in the seventh inning due to the injury. With Josh Lowe (oblique) returning from the IL on Thursday, there may not be a spot for Jankowski on the big-league roster once he’s activated. He has slashed .258/.294/.323 over 34 plate appearances with the Rays this season.
