Hayden Birdsong logs quality start at Coors Field

Hayden Birdsong delivered a quality start at Coors Field on Thursday against the Rockies but received a no-decision. The right-hander pitched six innings, allowing three runs on seven hits and two walks while striking out six. It was his first time completing six innings since moving into the rotation last month. Birdsong generated 16 swinging strikes on 104 pitches and left the game in line for the win before the bullpen blew a four-run lead.

Over his last five outings since joining the San Francisco Giants' rotation, Birdsong has posted a 3.24 ERA and a 26:9 K:BB ratio across 25 innings. He is scheduled to face the Guardians next week.
