by Bruno Mulé | Rangers Correspondent | Fri, Jun 13th 12:36pm EDT
Getting the start at shortstop Thursday, Josh Smith kicked off the Texas Rangers' 16-3 win over Minnesota with a leadoff home run. It was part of a 2-for-5 performance that also included a walk, three total runs scored, and one RBI. The multi-hit effort was Smith's fourth in a row.
Fantasy Impact:
The versatile Smith has been hitting well in June, batting .357 (15-for-42) with four doubles, two home runs, seven RBI, seven runs, and two steals over 10 games this month. He has been in the lineup whenever the Rangers face a right-hander, either at shortstop to give Corey Seager a breather or at first base.
